For grammar class, we have divided into a group to present about grammar. Each group with one topic. Today, the first group have to present about nouns and articles. This is what we have learn


NOUNS
 Nouns is a names of people, places, things and animals


Common noun is noun of all things with the same kind or class
Proper noun is name of  one particular person or things

Abstract nouns is things we can only think of  and feel. It can be formed from adjectives or from common nouns or from verbs.

Collective nouns is the name of a number(or collection) of person or things considered as one.
Example:
o family – having same parents
o band – a group of musicians
o gaggle – a group talkative girls or women
o troop – a group of monkeys
o hive – a group of bees
o bunch – a collection of bananas or grapes
o suit – a set of clothes


ARTICLES
A, AN, THE 

WHEN TO USE A OR  AN

1.in descriptions
    E.g: She is an interesting person.

2.when we say what something is, or what somebody’s job is
    E.g: This is a return ticket.

3.We use a before a consonant sound ( b, c, d, g, j, m)
    E.g: A book

4.We use an before a vowel sound ( a, e, i, o, u)
                  Eg : An address
            
            5.We choose a or an because of pronounciation, not spelling
                  Eg : an hour ( h is silent, so hour is like our )
